About the Author: Douglas Petrovich teaches Ancient Egypt Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada. Formerly the academic dean and a professor teaching at Novosibirsk Biblical-Theological Seminary in Russia, and at Shepherds Theological Seminary in the United States, Douglas Petrovich taught various levels of biblical Hebrew. Earning a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto majoring in Syro-Palestinian archaeology and two minors in ancient Egyptian language, and in ancient Near Eastern religions, his interest in research extends to biblical history and exegesis, Egyptology, and ancient Near Eastern history (including archaeology, epigraphy, chronology, and iconography).
