Armenian Ceramic Mosaic Fish Plate
Diameter: 8.66" / 22cm
This stunning Armenian Ceramic plate depicts the fish mosaic that was discovered in an ancient church in Tabgha, which is located on the shores of the Galilee. Brilliant hues of blue, green, red, and yellows will make this item stand out among the rest of your home décor. This plate is perfect to be hung up on a wall or placed on a mantel place or to be used a serving dish.
Each item created is handmade with ceramic clay. Once the design is molded into the desired shape and size it is placed into an oven at a temperature of 1000°C until hardened. After the piece has cooled, it is then hand painted using metallic and oxidized paint in order to keep its natural color and vibrancy. Once the paint has dried, the item is again placed in the oven and finished with a shiny, glossy glaze.
